Fabio Di Giannantonio lit up Friday at Lusail with a record 1:50.406. Marc Márquez finished 0.142s behind, Marco Bezzecchi 0.260s back.

A chain failure interrupted Márquez, but he still secured second and direct Q2 entry. Jorge Martín also made the top ten; Pedro Acosta faces Q1.

Filip Salač posted a 1:56.096 in Friday Moto2 Practice to finish second. He was just 0.199s behind Daniel Holgado’s fastest 1:55.897.

The Czech OnlyFans American Racing Team rider secured direct entry into Q2. A bright start under the lights — now to turn that pace into a race result!

Two tenths. That is all that separated Salač from Friday’s top spot.
